Hello! Hope everyone is doing well and having a good 3rd week of school. Online learning is starting to get more off the ground and while some are doing great, I do know some still aren't loving the new version of school. Please let me know how I can be of help to you and your student! And a 3-day weekend couldn't have come at a better time in my opinion!
This week: We have started our Intro to Illustrator unit this week, we started with the basics of Adobe Illustrator, the program workspace and the tools, they learned about artboards and how to get started and we then divided into the Pen tool by first playing the Bezier game and then using the pen tool in Illustrator itself. Due: Pen Tool Worksheet is due Saturday Due: HelpX: Artbaords is due today Coming up next week: Up next is continuing to learn about Adobe Illustrator. We will continue to use a series of worksheets that open in the program along with step by step directions from me live in class, and then later they have written directions and a video of me completing the worksheet(s) that they can view as many times as they need to. We will explore basic shapes, the align and pathfinder panel, the gradient tool, the type tools, how to create image traces, and how to work with layers. Each worksheet will be worked on in class and don't take very long to complete. New Parent Site: I have created a new parent website for updates and information about what is going on in class, please visit www.scaleswhs.weebly.com for more! Meet the Teacher: I have included the Parent presentation for Meet the Teacher night for anyone that wasn’t able to join us, this is a presentation for all the lasses I teach, so some slides may not be applicable to you. Communication: Please feel free to join our Remind group to see the same updates the students are getting! Text @AdvStScale to 81010. I will also, of course, answer emails but please be aware that if you email me in the evening, I will email you back the next school day. Please let me know if you have questions! Thanks so much!
